Army

Army ROTC scholarships

The Army’s page says applications must be started no later than March 4, 2027 to be eligible for review by the Army ROTC National Scholarship Board. The same page lists these earlier board dates for that class:

  • Due October 12, 2026. Applications reviewed October 19–23, 2026.
  • Due January 18, 2027. Applications reviewed January 25–29, 2027.
  • Due March 8, 2027. Applications reviewed March 15–19, 2027.

Eligibility on the Army page

  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Be at least 17 and under 31 in the year of commissioning
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have an unweighted high school GPA of at least 2.50 if you are in high school while applying
  • Have taken the SAT or ACT
  • Pass the Army Physical Fitness Assessment (PFA), then the Army Fitness Test (AFT) upon contract completion
  • Meet the physical waist-to-height ratio standards
  • Agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army, Army Reserve, or Army National Guard

The Army’s page says scholarships can cover tuition and fees or room and board. It also says all ROTC scholarships include $420 each month throughout the school year and $1,200 each year for books. College applicants should use that page for the college process. The dates above are the high school class of 2027 dates.

Navy

Navy ROTC scholarship

The Naval Service Training Command four-year national scholarship page says the fiscal year 2026 NROTC online application is closed and the fiscal year 2027 application is open. That page does not list a calendar deadline. Check it for the current close date before you apply.

Marine Corps

Marine Corps ROTC scholarship

The Naval Service Training Command Marine Corps scholarships page describes the NROTC Marine option and says applicants use the NROTC online application. That page does not list a deadline. Check it for dates.

Air Force

Air Force ROTC scholarship

The Air Force ROTC high school scholarship application page says the window is open through for students who plan to enter Air Force ROTC in the 2027–2028 academic year. That page also says junior year of high school must be finished before you apply, and it tells applicants to read the application guide to confirm eligibility. The same page says accepting a scholarship and continuing past freshman year brings a service obligation in the U.S. Air Force or Space Force. Check the official page for any update.
